To simply review every new clothing, makeup and accessory store in the Towson Town Center would not only be boring for me as a writer and you as a reader, but in doing so I would miss getting to talk about a lot of the cooler, lesser known aspects of some of my new favorite (and a few lesser liked) shopping destinations.

So this week, as I dive into Anthropologie, I've decided to take a different angle on my assessment of said store's shop-ability.

I don't know about the other girls out there like me who love to shop but have limited funds to work with, but the second I walk into Anthropologie my wallet starts screaming.

"$24 camis! Scarves from $38 to $98! Dresses from $128 to $438! Someone please take me away before I spend next year's tuition on a single outfit!"

So this week I decided to venture towards the back corner of the store to the small room marked "Sale."

Unlike most stores that have maybe a clearance rack or two, every Anthropologie store I've been to always has an entire separate room, or at least a good part of another floor, devoted to sale items.

According to Towson junior Makenna Hardy, who recently began working at Anthropologie, new items hit the sales section weekly and vary from pieces that didn't sell well on the floor to items that the store had in excess.

"[The sale items are] a lot of unique pieces people wouldn't usually buy individually," Hardy said.

To be perfectly honest, the sale prices of items at Anthropologie are around the same price I might pay for something at full price from Abercrombie & Fitch or dELiA*s.

But because the clothes are made of sturdy material and can usually be worn for more than one season, the prices aren't too outlandish.

As for new styles in the sales section, Hardy has noticed a growing amount of sheer T-shirts and print dresses.

Even though these items are better for summer, stocking up early at sale prices can save you both cash and shopping time next year.

One of the main trends I noticed among the racks was cropped jackets.

Cropped jackets not only look great with layering, but they're perfect for the fall weather, where it's too hot for your pea coat but too cold to go out in just a shirt.

The Brindavan Jacket, marked down to $59.95 from $118, is a fun take on the original jean jacket.

Denim looks great with any color under it, and the frills around the edges of the jacket's cuffs and collar will add a girly touch to any look.

Knits, which are gaining popularity this winter, were also abundant in the sales section.

The Greenwich Lane Cardi, marked down to $69.95 to $148 combines a brown cabled knit with a scarf-like fringe for an earthy take on knitwear.

The sale section of Anthropologie will not disappoint the college shopper on a budget who's looking for some fun new pieces this fall.

I can't speak for the rest of the store, however, in trying to buy a bargain outfit.
