Musician Donavon Frankenreiter will perform at The Recher Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 18. Sara Watkins (from the bluegrass band Nickel Creek) will open. Tickets are $20. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Downtown-

Parody metal band GWAR will be performing at Sonar (407 E. Saratoga St.) on Saturday, Oct. 18. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower will present an Open Studio Day on Saturday, Oct. 18. Visitors will be permitted to tour artists' studios and view or buy art. The event, presented by the Baltimore office of Promotion & The Arts, will run from noon to 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
