Gender gap: How each USM institution fares

Towson isn't the only University System of Maryland institution with a gender gap. In fact, only one state institution, University of Maryland, College Park, has more men than women (51/49). Here are the gender gaps for every USM school, based on phone calls and Internet searches:

  • Bowie State University: 37/63
  • Coppin State University: 23/77
  • Frostburg State University: 50/50
  • Salisbury University: 43/57
  • Towson University: 40/60
  • University of Baltimore: 42/58
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore: 27/73
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore County: 48/52
  • University of Maryland, College Park: 51/49
  • University of Maryland Eastern Shore: 39/51
  • University of Maryland University College: 47/53
