Paw Print: Crab resturant set to open Friday

7 September 2011 By Jordan Russell, News Editor No Comments

S&J’s crab ranch will open its doors Friday, Sept. 9 on West Pennsylvania Ave. The shop was initially set to open Thursday, but the Grand Prix caused a delay, according to co-owner Steve Recher.

Recher said they’ve been fixing up the restaurant and preparing the staff for the restaurant’s grand opening for the past month and a half. Recher said he and his business partner James Kahn were looking for a place in the Towson, Timonium area for a few years.

“We were looking around in the area and as a whole-sale crab business, we noticed there weren’t a whole lot of places people could go and eat crabs. So we looked around and this [building] became available. The situation was good and we bought it,” Recher said.

S&J’s also serves southern style food, barbeque and seafood.
