Greek this Week: AEPie in the face

12 October 2011 By Megan Flannery, Assistant Arts & Life Editor No Comments

It was a sticky situation at Speaker’s Circle Wednesday afternoon.

Alpha Epsilon Pi members raised money to support Sharsheret, an organization that helps women who are fighting breast cancer, by pie-ing their classmates, coaches and program director’s in the face.

“Matt Lenno was out here earlier and he got pied,” vice president of AEPi Dan Rodgers said. “He brought a bunch of people out with him too. We’ve had a pretty good turnout so far.”

In addition Lenno, the director of Greek life, participants could also pie people such as men’s basketball coach Pat Skerry and the AEPi vice president Rodgers himself.

“It was a lot colder than I expected,”  Rodgers said. “This one guy threw it [the pie] as hard as he could. I’m pretty sure my nose is cracked now.”
