Ahh Sean, don’t get me wrong, I thought it was funny too! I don’t recall using the word “entitlement” but did imply it, I admit. What I meant was she threw the dollar back down, and then was later surprised that someone found it and didn’t toss it out. It was funny because she did the same exact thing.

Not a direct correlation to any entitlement commentary, but certainly provides an example.

WTF is Tiger02 talking about? How are you connecting a small part from a humorous story to a sense of entitlement or laziness or something?

That’s like me reading “I would break down into the fetal position crying ‘I touched poo’” and arguing that she must have trust issues and that Freud would argue she developed incorrectly during the anal stage or something. Completely unfounded and completely irrelevant.

I for one really enjoyed this; one of the only times I’ve laughed out loud from a column.

….I think you should have asked yourself the same question, seeing as you seem to have just thrown it back down too. I recognize this story is supposed to be funny (and it was) but it also clearly illustrates how everyone here seems to just expect others to do stuff for them
