“Obama is very charismatic, and he just comes across as a nice guy,” he said. “Romney is just very pompous and he doesn’t relate at all to voters.”

I want somebody in office that will put policies in place to turn the economy around and not ones that will put us in the deepest depression this country has ever seen; it's coming. I do not care if the president is a charismatic "nice guy" or if he is a complete asshole. @ withheld - to be fair to John; this isn't the only article on the planet regarding why young voters voted for Obama in 2008. Certainly not all or an overwhelmingly majority, but It is widely known that a lot young voters voted for Obama in 2008 because they liked him as a person, liked his charisma / energy, wanted "change" (who didnt't), student loan promises, et cetera and not based on his political view points, experience, competency and resume. Just talk to 10 RANDOM young people who vote this year. Ask them who they voted for and why. Then ask them specific questions. More than half will have no clue, or recite things that their socialist professor said during indoctrination time in class.

So John, I'm sort of waiting for the point of your post. You attributed the idea of "cool" to the "children"...you were wrong.

Not sure what advice I'm supposed to be taking here...that you're still having trouble retaining the facts from written material? Ok...got it. Thanks.

john - Sure, just like in the past, let's let the young people fight and die in the wars that the older leaders declare.

Young people move the nation forward with new ideas. You know, new energy sources, new technologies, new health advances. They grow tired of starting unneccesary wars with countries that pose no threat to us (Iraq) because they are the ones that have to fight when someone from the good ole boy school forces them to do so.

I think you should give young people more credit.

Freshman electronic media and film major Max Radbill said he supports Obama in the election because he feels that Romney is out of touch with the average American.

“Obama is very charismatic, and he just comes across as a nice guy,” he said. “Romney is just very pompous and he doesn’t relate at all to voters.”

Take your own advise. Why so nasty? Truth hurt?

Pretty sure the article states (clearly) that Erhlich brought up the bit about "cool factor" not one of "these children". I invite you to more carefully in the future *before* making your trademark pompus judgements.

Impulsivity and failure to collect all the data before drawing a conclusion are traits commonly found in...wait for it...children.

It a shame that these children in college are only concerned about who is "cool" when it comes to voting. A sign of the times I guess, but as they get older they will realize its more important that a person actually be able to run a country, not give false hope like Barack.

Romney for President. Ehrlich for VP.
