Armed robberies occur in proximity to campus

Baltimore County Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred off the 1000 block of Woodson Road, five minutes from Towson’s campus, according to a communications report from Towson University Police.

The first incident occurred Sept. 6 at 6:15 p.m. and involved three unidentified victims as they exited a vehicle. The second incident happened Sept. 7 at 10:15 p.m after an unidentified Towson student returned home from a University shuttle.

Both victims, the release said, were approached by six black males in their early 20s. Only one was armed with a handgun.

Baltimore County Police Relations could not be reached for comment.

The Towerlight is looking for further information from the campus community and will update this story as more information becomes available.
