@TU Student, speaking of bitter and hateful, your previous comment is just stained with rudeness and blatant stupidity. I don’t usually stoop to this level, but since you started it, I’ll make an exception. The column is a satire of what the author finds to be humorous. If you don’t find it funny, fine. You can continue to live your pathetic, boring, and uneventful life. Some people find her column hilarious, while others (like you) who do not possess any sense of humor take it way too personally. Live a little. Lighten up. Life’s too short to be a shrew. And judging by the rudeness of your comment, one can infer that it is you who is far from gorgeous– on the inside and out.

And while I’m on here bashing the commenters on this column, @TUGradStudent, while I’m sure The Towerlight is appreciative of the website hits that they receive daily as a result of your pointless comments, please go find better use of your time than bashing the publication, its writers and columnists, or the articles that they feature. If you choose to provide constructive suggestions, I’m sure they’d appreciate it.

So, demeaning nervous, broke freshmen buying college textbooks for the first time… is that what makes you “witty and gorgeous”? I didn’t know “witty and gorgeous” translated to “bitter and hateful, yet somehow given a platform for her words which will only be read by the very people she seems to hate.”

Also, I’ve seen your picture. I guess “gorgeous” is a more subjective term than I thought it was.
