Towson Invitational

Towson took home a first place victory in the Towson Invitational.

In a 5K race, the team had an overall time of 1:37:17.88, beating second place finisher Mount St. Mary’s time of 1:38:26.36.

Sophomore Elizabeth Tauber put up another strong performance, finishing second overall in the race, with an average mile time of 6:07.2.

Tauber wasn’t the only runner for Towson putting up big numbers.

Towson had three other runners finish in the top 10.

Junior Emma Tobin came in fifth place with an average time of 6:13.2.

Sophomore Kara Bucaro came in sixth place with an average time of 6:15.9 and senior Hannah McKenzie came in eighth with an average time of 6:19.2.

This was the Tigers’ first top finish in three events this year, after coming in second place in the last two events.

Up next for the Tigers is the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Sept.  28. The race starts at noon.
