did something not many others would not do- they posted a video on YouTube asking girls to join them on a double date.

“We would love to take you out if you’re interested, maybe get some drinks… we’ll even pay for the whole thing,” Fixell said in the duo’s first YouTube video titled “Double Date Us: Dave and Ethan Introduction.” “Maybe even go dancing… but only if you’re good looking,”

Ahdoot and Fixell have gone on over 200 double dates starting in March 2008 in multiple cities across the country including Philadelphia and New York.

“We kept receiving more and more requests on YouTube, and every new request was weirder then the one before,” Ahdoot said.  “In reality, the longest we ever dated the same girl from this experience was only a month or two.”

Today, the two best friends have turned their long series of double dates into a comedy show called the “College Dating Coaches.” They have performed at over 115 colleges across the country. They have even been featured on national television shows like “The Tonight Show,” “The Colbert Report,” and “The Millionaire Matchmaker.”

Campus Activities Board Programming Chair Emily Magelof said she hoped they would a huge hit because of their stage presence and relatable material.

Besides giving comedic dating advice, the dynamic duo said they like to poke fun at the particular school they attend.  Before their show starts they like to talk to students about the official “411” of the school.

By doing so, they incorporate both dating techniques and the hot gossip that tailors to the college.

“If you’re interested send us an email at daveandethan@yahoo.com,” Fixell said at the end of their first video. “We’ll take you out for sure, if you’re attractive and not crazy.”
