27-year-old dies of multiple gunshot wounds

The victim of a shooting that took place last night in the Fairways apartment complex Sunday night has died.
Alsawab Sawab, 27, died at Sinai Hospital Sunday night, after he was discovered in his apartment in the Fairways complex on the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle.
Sawab suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. The case is now being investigated as a homicide, according to Baltimore County Police.
There was no forced entry into the apartment, leading police to believe it was not a random act.
The body of the victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and an autopsy was scheduled for Monday morning.
Police first responded to the scene last night at 6:55 p.m. when a resident reported a man with a gunshot wound was outside her apartment.
On Monday morning, just below the first-floor entrance to the apartment where a police officer said the crime took place, what appeared to be blood was on the walls, and around the doorknob of one of four basement apartments in an end unit on Lachlan Circle, according to the Baltimore Sun.
There is no information on the suspect yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
The Towerlight will update this story as more information becomes available.
