PDF tracks students’ involvement
Towson students have a new, interactive way to track their involvement in clubs and organizations during their time at Towson University using the online Student Engagement Record.
In addition to tracking involvement, the printable PDF document can track any service hours and internship activities that students complete.
Junior Sarah Brucksch is looking forward to using the Student Engagement Record.
“I know it will help me in the future,” Brucksch said. “It’s a great idea because it encourages students at Towson to get involved.”
Coordinator of Student Organizations, Chris Rindosh said that when a student joins a club via Involved@TU, the organization is automatically imported into the Student Engagement Record.
Students then pick the activities they want to showcase or to hide and can add reflections for others to see.
Rindosh said that having activities and involvement printed onto a form will highlight not only the student, but Towson University. Towson is one of a few schools implementing this tool.
“Employees aren’t just looking for the classroom experience, they’re looking for the leadership,” Rindosh said. “When going into an interview it will set a student apart from the rest.”
To access the Student Involvement Record, use the TU NetId and Password to log-in to the Involved @TU website, www.involved.towson.edu.
From there, click on the ‘My Involvement’ tab, at the top of the page, then navigate to ‘Student Engagement Record.’
