Shuttle service to BWI, Penn offered
Towson University Parking and Transportation Services will be providing a free shuttle to BWI and Penn Station for traveling students, faculty and staff with a valid TU ID.
For Thanksgiving break, there is shuttle service both to and from BWI and Penn Station. However, during winter break, Parking and Transportation Services does not run a return service shuttle.
Anyone wishing to take advantage of the shuttle service is encouraged to reserve a seat online through the Parking and Transportation Services website. Seats that are not reserved online will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The shuttle for Thanksgiving break will leave on Nov. 25 and 26 at several different times. The return shuttle will be throughout the evening on Dec. 1 starting at 5 p.m. The shuttle will begin on Dec. 16 and also be provided on the 17th and 18th for departures on winter break.
Freshman Connor O’Shell is from Rochester, NY, and was not aware of the service offered.
“It [sounds like] an awesome service,” he said.
Freshman Rachel Gorenstein is from New Jersey, and usually drives home. However, she felt positively about the shuttle service as well.
“I think it’s convenient and a great [service] for [out of state students] to safely get to Penn Station,” she said.
All of the shuttles will depart from the lower level of the Union Garage. And for return services they depart from International terminal at BWI and from Charles Street at Penn Station.
