May 2008: We welcome 6 new alumni to our group! Editor-in-Chief Sharon Leff, Senior Editor Krysten Appelbaum, Art Director Jenn Long and Associate Art Director Matthew Laumann, former News Editor Jazzmen Tynes, who left the paper a semester early to accept an internship. Also graduating is former Associate Sports Editor Matt Vensel, who left the paper a semester early to work at the B Free Daily. These are this year's graduates from The Towerlight's editorial board.

May 2007: We welcome 4 new alumni to our group! Editor-in-Chief Brian Stelter and Associate Sports Editor Darnay Tripp are this year's graduates from The Towerlight's editorial board. Also graduating is former Senior Editor Kristi Funderburk, who left the paper a semester early to accept an internship with USA Today. Sports Editor Terence Flyntz graduated in December.
July 2006: Longtime Towerlight secretary Lorraine Mayers has retired.
June 2006: Christopher Austin, from Wootton High School in Gaithersburg, Md, has been announced as this year's recipient of the $1,000 Lorraine Mayers Towerlight scholarship, made possible by the continuing contributions of Towerlight alumni. (Each year we award a graduating high school senior who has demonstrated strong potential for a career in journalism and who intends to enroll at TU and join The Towerlight. Last year's winner, Kiel McLaughlin, was recently promoted to associate sports editor.)
May 2006: Another academic year and another Towerlight publishing cycle come to a close. Six Towerlight seniors are graduating from TU: Mike Fila (senior editor), Erica Kritt (arts editor), Brent Kennedy (sports editor), Luke Brietzke (former sports editor), Lauren Tilley (former arts editor), and Kristen Bott (columnist). Their names have already been added to the alumni list below.
May 2005: Towerlight alumni gathered for a picnic-style reunion Sunday, May 15 in the Auburn Pavilion on TU's campus. The theme was student appreciation, and 20 current Towerlight staffers joined the party. Coming farthest to the reunion was Sean Brohawn, who flew in from Reno, Nevada. Others drove from as far as North Carolina (Jenn Hykes) and Connecticut (Adam Reisinger).
