Bang out the boots
Ladies it is time to let go of the sandals and those dreadful flip-flops. Fall fashion is has arrived for the season. It is time to bring out your boots. I don’t mean those everyday Uggs or your sleazy Saturday night "come get me" boots either. I am talking about fly and flawless boots that tops off any outfit.
Some of our Towson women already strut their stuff in fashionable boots.
Dr. Nicole Dombrowski-Risser, Associate Professor for the department of history, was spotted walking to the Cook Library wearing a pair of brand named, brown leather, Michael Kors, rider boots. I am a huge fan of Micheal Kors party shoes and now an advocate for his boots.
Dr. Dombrowski-Risser told me she caught the boots on sale at a Bergdorf Goodman in New York city. Although her idea of a sale price is $350, that may not be ideal for the average Towson fashonista. Dr. Dombrowski-Risser recommended that we shop at Nordstrom Rack, as that may be more in the college girls' price range.
I personally believe those Michael Kors were well worth the $350 and you cannot put a price on looking fabulous. Right on Dr. Dombrowski-Risser!
Everyone woman should own a good pair of quality boots to add to our fall fashion wardrobe.
Ana Maria Garzon, an international student from Panama, wore a pair of grayish-blue casual boots from Clark's. These boots were to die for. I literally wanted to take them off her feet and wear them home.
Ana Maria told me a very interesting story about purchasing the boots, which are normally about $200 bucks, for only five dollars in Panama. If you know the brand Clark's, you know their shoes are great quality. I probably would have just paid the $200 for them; just to satisfy my boot fetish.
Last and definitely not least, Linnita Hosten, junior in mass communications, proves that fashion sense does not have to suffer from small pockets. The rugged boot is back and is making a name for its self.
Linnita told me she got her stylish, but cheap, boots at Ross, a popular department store, for $15. Ross is in the college student price range and sells name brands for less. I personally own a black pair of the same boots and receive a million compliments on them.
The lesson here is there are three different routes you can take when purchasing a new pair of fall boots. The brand name boot, which is always satisfying, is the most expensive yet sophisticated look. The casual quality boot is always a great choice as your feet will be comfortable and the boot is versatile with any outfit. The cheap yet stylish boot is the most affordable and obvious choice. If you can look good and still have lunch money then why not.
What do you think? Which boot do you prefer?
