Tip For the week: Eye Make-up Application
Whenever I am out and about in the town or even just around campus I always have to fix my face. Not that I am implying there is anything wrong with my face, but I do like to use cosmectics as an enhancer of beauty; not a cover-up.
So I find it interesting that three girls ask me how did I apply my eye shadow today. I thought this might be a helpful tip for all of my Fashion Fancy gals.
Before you apply make-up of any kind, you need to first make sure it compliments your skin tone.
For example pale skin tones do not work well with dark browns or chocolate colors; although they can get away with almost every bold color if applied correctly. Also dark skin tones need to stay away from too many bright bold colors; hot pink, royal blue, and deep purple together makes you look like the ring leader of the circus.
After you have decided which colors work best for you make sure you have quality brand of eye make-up;everything in the beauty supply is not worth the dollar. Popular brands such as MAC, Mary Kay, Maybelline, and MAX would work well. If you're on a budget though look for the N.Y.C. color plalette.
For a basic look you will want to use two to three shades. One will be the highlighter
