After more than 70 columns, I'm starting to run out of topics to rant about. Sure, something might happen tomorrow or I may get struck with a lightning bolt of inspiration (it really does feel like a lightning bolt sometimes). Basically, I want to pick your brains. Post in the comments things that really grind your gears or that you don't understand. Because Tyler Tech is your column as much as it is mine. As much as going on and on about the latest Mac OSX update would be oh so exciting, I don't think you'd have as much fun as I would. Or as Online Editor Blake "Blake Blake Blake Snow Leopard" Savadow would. Also, we've been nominated for a Mobbie. Thanks to the Baltimore Sun for running this cool contest. Two Towerlighters are nominated: Myself and our Idiot. Vote for the...All hands on deck

Joystiq reports this guy made a one-handed Xbox 360 controller mod. What you do with the other hand is your business. May I recommend reading The Bed Post for that?

Sony quietly replaced a line in their new PS3 ad which referenced Nigerian email scams. I wonder if one of Nigeria's near-infinite princes got a hold of them... anyway, here's the offending ad, since I'm a rebel and all. Enjoy. Then, dearest friend, I was wondering if you could help me send some money to my dear uncle, king of Nigeria to hold in escrow and assist the transfer of US$28milion in funds to the United States In America. You will be paid commission, I assure you. I'm actually a huge fan of these self-aware ads. Sony is a company that, adter a long time lost in the woods, is showing they know their audience again....Keeping the doctor away...

Okay, so Apple had their big announcement the other day. While it wasn't "YAY BEATLES MUSIC" like everybody hoped, it was OK, I guess. Notable is that for the first time in a long time, it's Steve Jobs up on stage. He was given a warm welcome and spoke briefly about his transplant experience First, iTunes. We're getting new features like DVD-style extras on movies and liner notes/b-sides for album purchases. That's a great idea to drive sales. The new ITunes LP feature allows for some pretty cool interactive features. Me, I don't buy anything on their store priced over 99 cents unless I really really want it anyway. I prefer my albums the old-fashioned way. On disc. The iPod Nano sports a new screen and a spiffy alumnium finish. You can now use it to take photos and...Happy Dreamcast Day

To some, 9/9/09 is a lucky number. To others, it's the release date of all this awesome Beatles stuff. To still others it's Apple's big unrelated announcement day (more on that later). To me, it's the Dreamcast's tenth birthday. It feels like just yesterday I cracked open my birthday gifts the morning of September 14, 1999 (turning 21 on Monday, not that you have to get me anything, though I'd appreciate it). I remember seeing Sonic Adventure and being all like "holy crap." This was the future. It took me forever to actually get a PS1 so it was like I missed out on an entire generation. I'm sorry, Nintendo 64, but you don't count. I already did a column for the DC's 9th birthday. Those recommendations still stand. Also look up "Propeller Arena" (on the...Damn you Murphy!

Long time no post, I know. I'll get to why that's been over the next few days.
Anyway, next week's column is about Murphy's Law and my gadgets. Tell me your stories about how your gear has gone wrong. The crazier, the better.
