Loco Lohans It’s been a rough week for the Lohan camp (not that there are ever good ones). Last week Lindsay and her mom Dina engaged in a physical altercation in a taxi while returning home to Long Island from a NYC night club. Of all things, the fight broke out because they disagreed on whether or not to go home or stay at a hotel.  After being attacked, Lindsay reportedly threatened to take back [...]

Timberlake Turns Back On Facebook No matter what social network you favor most, it was impossible to escape the new Myspace teaser. “The Social Network” star, Justin Timberlake, has had a heavy hand in the site’s revamp (isn’t that ironic?) and is clearly inspired by other platforms. With a horizontal orientation, the site is one part Spotify, one part Pinterest and one part Facebook. Timberlake teamed up with Specific Media to buy the site for [...]

Reality Show Judges Take Spotlight If there’s one thing that American Idol can’t do nowadays, besides producing an actual American superstar, it is keeping a judge. Randy Jackson, the last of the three original judges, is leaving his swiveling chair and glass of Coke behind to become a mentor to the potential B-list pop stars. No word on what his new mentor status will entail, but it is probably safe to assume that this isn’t [...]

Taylor Finds New Man This past week Taylor Swift announced that her new album, “Red,” will be released on October 22 and dropped the album’s first single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Ironically, on the eve of this announcement news broke that Swift purchased a Cape Cod mansion that is within walking distance of her new beau, Connor Kennedy’s, family home. After weeks of speculation, just as Swift seems to have given the [...]

Have you ever walked into a room and forgotten why you’re there? There’s a scientific reason for that. A new research study by University of Notre Dame psychology professor Gabriel Radvansky suggests that passing through doorways causes memory lapses. “Entering or exiting through a doorway serves as an ‘event boundary’ in the mind, which separates episodes of activity and files them away,” Radvansky said in his study, which was recently published in the Quarterly Journal [...]

Mary J. Blige takes film role

Mary J. Blige has slowly become a jack of all trades and a master of all. Recently,  in addition to producing innumerable soul/ R&B albums, she has agreed to appear in a film entitled “Rock of Ages,” portraying gentleman’s club owner Justice Charlier. They’ve taken over New Jersey. They’ve taken over Miami. And now, they’re going world-wide and taking over Italy. The cast of the Jersey Shore is scheduled to travel to Italy this spring to do what they do best. Eat, drink and be merry. However, unlike in New Jersey where Snookie is able to walk around on the beach, completely inhebriated, and not get in trouble until she talks back to police officers, the mayor of [...]

‘We so excited’ for Rebecca Black’s lack of grammar

You’ve heard it. I’ve heard it. The entire world ‘so excited’. Why? One word : Friday. The end of the week will never be the same because of Rebecca Black. When a friend told me to check out this video, I thought; “Okay, great! A new jam for the party play list!” – Then I heard Rebecca Black sing “Friday” and my ears bled. Not only does she sound like she inhaled a dead skunk, [...]

Here’s an easy way to feel dumb. A 12-year-old has an IQ higher than yours. But don’t feel bad, Jake Barnett’s IQ (170) is 10 points higher than Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking. The young man was also diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at an early age, which, together with his brilliant mind, is no doubt helping to drive his thirst for knowledge. And how is he persuing this quest? Through college-level astrophysics classes. And according [...]
