As college students, most of us have already chosen the course that we will follow in our lives. But for those of us who haven’t found the way, or even for those who have, our zodiac sign clues us in on the career path that fits us. Aries needs an occupation that keeps them on their toes. Jobs with odd hours and new challenges everyday are best for the ram. Aries would thrive in journalism, [...]

Rihanna’s music success Rihanna’s music video for “Russian Roulette” recently hit 100 million views on Vevo, which allowed the video to join the ranks of “certified” videos. As if that milestone isn’t a big accomplishment in and of itself, this is Rihanna’s 12th video to surpass the 100 million-view mark making her the new front-runner in certified videos. Rihanna was previously tied with Justin Bieber with 11 certified videos. Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s father, Clinton, has [...]

Pi Kappa Alpha held their second annual Pike Fireman’s Challenge on campus, a four-day competition between Panhellenic sororities to raise money for the burn victims at John Hopkins Children’s Burn Center. All Towson University students were encouraged to support the sororities by attending all events and help fundraise. During the week, sororities were challenged to display creativity, humor, athleticism and culinary skills throughout the events, Kevin Merget, a Pike brother, said. The event began with [...]

The changing of the seasons has been particularly dramatic in Aix-en-Provence. Poppies wink cheerfully on grassy slopes and bushy purple flowers bow down from the trees. People are out, packed onto cafe terraces or sitting on the steps of fountains. Tourists have descended on Aix with their loose fitting button downs and floppy straw hats. I chuckle to myself a little bit when I draw near and hear an American accent, hearing a stereotype confirm [...]

I have serious love of horror movies, and the only thing that can compete with that is my love of documentaries. I can sit in front of a documentary series for hours. There’s something pacifying about them. So when there’s a really good movie that combines those two elements, I absolutely have to watch it. I don’t mean like those mockumentaries, like “The Blair Witch Project” or “Paranormal Activity” or “Grave Encounters” or whatever, though [...]

Farrah Abraham “Teen Mom’s” Farrah Abraham is moving full speed ahead with her “sex-tape” with porn star James Deen. If the situation hasn’t gotten out of hand already, it just did. Abraham recently met with Steve Hirsch from Vivid Entertainment and brought along her 3-year-old daughter and her father to the meeting. Apparently her father was there for to support Abraham. The MTV star has two other bids being offered and has apparently only heard [...]

Music contains a lot of complexities that can make us love it or hate it. Sometimes, our astrological sign can influence even what melodies we find appealing. Aries is a sign that likes a lot of order and structure in their music, as well as a strong backbeat. The mood of their tunes should be lively and inspirational. The ram would enjoy heavy metal, punk and hard rock. Taurus can turn on the [...]

Towson sophomore Brandon Moody wasn’t quite sure what he wanted to do once he graduated. All he knew was that he wanted to build his résumé. After entering college, however, he joined multiple organizations that he hopes will help him secure a job post-graduation. After taking a computer science class in college, he said he discovered a natural talent for working with and understanding computers and found the perfect major to pursue. “I guess it [...]

I’m always afraid when an artist stages a comeback. When Justin Timberlake announced that he was coming back to music after a seven-year hiatus, I was happy but a bit apprehensive. Would anyone be checking for him anymore? Based on the lukewarm response that an established act like No Doubt got when they released “Push and Shove” last year, and this was a decent enough piece of work in my opinion. Justin took the beaten [...]

Thursday night, sororities and fraternities continued Greek Week by putting their singing and dancing skills to the test for Greek Sing. Kappa Delta, who came in first place, had a New York theme with red T-shirts that read “Life is pretty… when you’re a Kay Dee in the city.” They had New York buildings as part of their scenery and a road. They opened the dance with “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra. From [...]
