Just before 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, Director of the Campus Activities Board Nick Jones found himself in a predicament. Cancel TigerFest? Delay TigerFest? Or open the gates at 3:30 p.m., despite the inclement weather forecast. “We didn’t think it was worth the safety of our students,” Jones said. “[But] we’ve worked so hard for this since October. Of course it’s the one day all week that had thunderstorms.” Jones, along with University administrators from Student [...]

Instead our media is saturated with tragedy, hatred and negativity.” Middleton’s speech was the centerpiece of a rally Tuesday afternoon meant to dispel the [...]

Six hundred and sixty-six cats, their litters and allies crept from the Glen Woods Sunday and attacked Towson’s campus. Junior Gale Williams said that she was sitting in class in the liberal arts building waiting for her teacher to arrive when a cat crawled into the room. It was purring so Williams walked toward it to pet it. “It got this evil gleam in its eyes and then a gang of about 20 cats came [...]

When senior Danielle Imhoff was growing up, all the student teachers in her classrooms came from Towson. From an early age, Imhoff saw Towson as a school that produces quality teachers, which inspired her to be a teacher herself. “I also heard from family and friends who work in the education system that having a degree from Towson looked good on a teacher’s résumé,” she said. Towson has historically provided more public school teachers than [...]
