In its final meet of the season, Towson finished 11th as a team in the ECAC Championships. The Tigers finished the 5K race with a total time of 1:40:10:61 and an average time of 20:02:12. Sacred Heart University won the event with an overall time of 1:34:18.80, averaging 18:51.76 per runner. Towson competed in the NCAA Mid Atlantic Championship Friday, Nov. 9, tying for 23rd place in the event with 670 points. Thirty-one teams competed in the Women’s 6K Championship, with Penn State winning it all with 61 points. Towson finished fifth out of eight teams in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship Saturday. William & Mary finished first. The Tiger’s usual top finisher sophomore Elizabeth Tauber had an uncharacteristic poor finish in 22nd place, with an overall time of 22:28.3.Finishing right behind Tauber for Towson was fellow sophomore Kara Bucaro who came in 29th place with an overall time of 22:59.6. After coming off a bye week, the Tigers came back to take fourth place in the William & Mary Open. The Tigers were once again led by sophomore Elizabeth Tauber, who ran the 6K in 22:36, giving her eighth place in the race. Towson’s Cross Country team competed in the Paul Short Invitational, finishing 19th out of 39 teams. The Tigers finished with a total team time of 1:59:00. In a different type of meet, the Tigers competed in a point’s race, with a much bigger field of teams. Leading the team was sophomore Elizabeth Tauber. Towson took home a first place victory in the Towson Invitational. In a 5K race, the team had an overall time of 1:37:17.88, beating second place finisher Mount St. Mary’s time of 1:38:26.36. Sophomore Elizabeth Tauber put up another strong performance, finishing second overall in the race, with an average mile time of 6:07.2. In its second meet of the season, Towson traveled to Delaware to compete in the Delaware Invite where the Tigers finished in second place. All 10 teams participating in the meet had runners take place in the 6K run, which is equal to almost four miles. Despite only having three runners in the top 15, Towson finished second in the Baltimore Metro Cross Country Meet held at Oregon Ridge Park. Sophomore Elizabeth Tauber was Towson’s highest finisher at 6th overall, completing the race in 19:10.95. Johns Hopkins dominated the meet with 11 runners in the top 15. Although Towson finished 33 points out of first place, Head Coach Roger Erricker said the finish was what he expected coming into the race. [...]

In their season finale, the Tigers finished third at the ECAC Championships in New York City on Saturday. Graduate student Katie Ogden and senior Kaitlyn Gilmartin-Donohue led the way for Towson in the last meet of their collegiate cross country careers. At the NCAA Regional Meet Saturday, the Tigers wrapped up a 14th-place showing. The finish marked a slight improvement on the team’s rank of 15 in the region that they held heading into the competition. Senior Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue contributed a team-best, 53rd-place finish for the second time in as many competitions.
