Towson suffered its first conference loss of the season Saturday, losing 10-8 to Colonial Athletic Association powerhouse Penn State. The Tigers (7-6, 3-1 CAA) entered the game tied with the No. 11 Nittany Lions (9-3, 4-0 CAA) for the conference lead, but a hard-fought loss ledto the Tigers slipping in the conference rankings. “I thought they were a good team,” Head Coach Shawn Nadelen said. “I don’t think there was too much difference in the [...]

Sophomore sensation

At the end of the 2012 season, Towson’s men’s lacrosse team lost its top two goal scorers to graduation. As a result, players who didn’t contribute as much last season were forced to step up this year, move into bigger roles and play with teammates they hadn’t before. Sophomore midfielder Greg Cuccinello, a key player for Towson’s offense, said he wanted to start the season on a high note. But when he suffered an injury [...]

The Tigers were able to add another win Sunday, beating the Delaware Blue Hens 14-8 in the first game of Colonial Athletic Association play. That almost doubled the number of goals she’s scored this season alone. She now has 15 goals on the year. There was enough offense to [...]
