Baltimore County police have arrested a suspect in connection with a March 15 armed robbery in the Towson Town Center parking garage. Nickolas Mathis, a 23-year-old Morgan State University student, was charged with armed robbery on March 19, Baltimore County Police spokesman Bill Toohey said.

Campus drivers who park illegally are more likely to have their car towed as a new enforcement program with higher fees goes into effect this week. New signs describing the towing policy were posted over Spring Break. The program includes an increase in the charge by Pollards Towing Inc.

HB 6, sponsored by Delegate Victor Ramirez (D-Prince George's), applies to illegal immigrants who graduated from Maryland high schools.
Former astronaut and current NASA scientist Donald Thomas will serve as director for the Willard Hackerman Academy of Mathematics and Science beginning Aug. 1. Hackerman donated $1 million to TU in June to start the academy, which is part of the Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics.
