JaJuan Smith saved my bracket's life. It should have died with the countless others that perished when Duke, Georgetown and Pittsburgh fell in the second round, dashing the hopes of expectant fans and forecasters across the country. However, I picked none of those teams to the Elite Eight, and only Duke was placed in the Sweet Sixteen on my chart.
Tiger Woods finally took a stand. He finally had enough and decided to make a change in his world. He threatened to snap the neck of the next person who snapped his picture while he was swinging his golf club. But of all the things to make a statement about, he chose something trivial in the grand scheme of the world.
While Towson students vacationed during spring break, the Towson softball team stayed on the diamond and remained hard at work. The diligence and labor paid off as the Tigers won the Charleston Southern Invitational, took two of three games against George Mason to open conference play, and swept cross-town rival UMBC.
