Students can now officially make purchases with their OneCards off-campus. After a year of discussion between University administrators and businesses in Towson, President Robert Caret joined Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith to usher in the partnership at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Towson Tuesday.

Blood donors line up to save lives

Towson University students, faculty and staff lined up in the University Union Potomac Lounge on Tuesday and Wednesday for a blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross. The drive will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gail Price, benefits specialist in the office of human resources, said 90 percent of those who gave one unit of blood on Tuesday and Wednesday were students.

Full-time students enrolled in the University's 10-week pilot trimester program this summer will be required to take a minimum of nine credits, according to dean of the College of Health Professions and chairperson of the trimester committee Charlotte Exner.

Draft close to complete

Document concerning demonstrations, protests changed to improve clarity

Towson's proposed time, place and manner draft is almost ready to go before the president's council for approval. The University's original free speech policy was created in 2001. In February, Towson unveiled proposed changes. Teri Hall, associate vice president for campus life, said the biggest change to the draft is in regard to amplified sound.

Mar. 26: In Smith Hall, a laptop was stolen out of an unlocked lounge area. Mar. 26: A commuter student retrieved a lost wallet from General Services and discovered that some money was missing from it. Mar. 26: On Osler Drive, a mentally challenged non-affiliate was escorted to the nearest bus stop.
