Though senioritis has fully set in for some students, seniors may find a reprieve in the week of events and activities dubbed Senior Week as a part of the Senior Experience.

The week's events are for students with 90 credits or more, and are hosted by campus life in collaboration with other organizations on campus.

Senior Week kicks off Friday with TU night at Camden Yards, where the Orioles will face the New York Yankees.

"The O's night is a social event where we're asking students and seniors to kind of get together and have fun together in Baltimore," Nicky Everette, assistant director of marketing and communications for campus life, said.

On Monday, April 21, senior portraits will be held in University Union Paws and are sponsored by Tower Echoes, the TU yearbook.

Also on Monday, in Stephens Hall, a guest speaker from the Financial Planners Association will speak about the effective habits of financially successful individuals. The College of Business and Economics Graduate Programs is sponsoring the event.

Everette said one of the bigger, more popular events is the Etiquette Dinner. During the formal dinner students get tips from an etiquette professional.

The event will be held Tuesday, April 22 at the Vin restaurant in downtown Towson.

"We wanted to make it more friendly for students to be able to get to it so we ended up hosting it here at Towson at one of the upscale restaurants," Everette said.

This event is designed to help students have an easier transition when they move off campus and to prepare students for what it would feel like if they were to go to a business networking event or anything that is more formal in nature, Everette said.

"When they're at the table and they're eating they're not focused on 'Which fork do I use?' or any of the etiquette type things because they'll have already been trained on that," she said.

The dinner is free, but students must reserve their spot with a refundable $20 deposit.
