Police have identified the bodies people that were found dead on Monday at the Sheraton on Dulaney Valley Road. According to a release from Baltimore County Police, the remains were of a family of four: William Parente, 59, Betty Parente, 58, and their daughters Stephanie, 19, and Catherine, 11.

Stephanie was a Loyola College student in the class of 2011.

"This is a moment of unimaginable sorrow for the entire Loyola family. The loss of young lives -- particularly under such circumstances -- defies understanding," Loyola President Rev. Brian F. Linnane wrote in an e-mail sent to the college community. "It calls upon us to hold fast to those we care about, to cherish every moment we are able to share with them. It also calls upon us to reflect on the challenges faced by those around us and to do all we can to show our support for those in our community. My own thoughts and prayers are with the Parente family and those who mourn them."

The family was visiting the area from Garden City, NY. Police are investigating the case as a murder/suicide. The bodies have been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsies Tuesday. The causes of the deaths will not be released until after the autopsies are completed, the release said.

Update: April 20

The four dead bodies found at the Sheraton Hotel have been identified as one adult male, two adult females and one teenage girl.

Baltimore County Police spokesman corporal Mike Hill said the victims were related, though he would not did disclose the nature of their relationship. BCPD officials are currently attempting to contact next of kin.

He confirmed that an autopsy will be performed on the bodies on Tuesday.

The victims were "not from this area, not Baltimore," according to Hill.

Early in the evening, a silver Mercedes SUV was towed by a BCPD crane from the Sheraton Hotel under police escort. The vehicle in question had a Loyola College sticker plastered to the rear window and New York license plates.

Hill could not release any more information regarding the investigation as of 9 p.m.

“Just because of where we are at in the investigation, from an identification standpoint, we’re not going to release any information about any marks or whatever about their bodies,” he said.

At about 10 p.m. the bodies were removed from the hotel.

“We’re hoping that over night we’ll be able to find the next of kin and that we will be able to find out all of their identities and confirm what their relationship is and hopefully we’ll have some questions answered about what happened here.”

The four people were supposed to check out of the hotel sometime Monday when housekeeping personnel discovered the bodies. Investigators were notified shortly before 3 p.m.

A gloomy, rainy day in Towson became a little darker when four dead bodies were found in a room on the tenth floor of the Sheraton Hotel, located across from the Towson Town Center.

Baltimore County Police spokesman corporal Mike Hill said the victims had not yet been identified and could not release their ages, race or gender.

The four people were supposed to check out of the hotel sometime Monday when housekeeping personnel discovered the bodies, according to Hill, who also could not release the nature of the scene.

“At this point we’re really just getting into the investigation,” Hill said at 6 p.m. on Monday. “We don’t even know what kind of investigation we’re dealing with.”

Baltimore County police received the call about the incident at about 3 p.m. Crime scene technicians and detectives were working well into the evening at the Sheraton.

“It appears that this is a contained scene and that there is not a threat to anyone else at the hotel or the area,” Hill said.

May we pray for this family, all who knew them and all of us who wish some how we could have helped them. May they rest in peace.

Everyone commenting on this article is incredibly ignorant. Many people are mourning over this tragedy, so please get off your self-righteous and judgemental high horse and let people mourn in peace.

You should be ashamed of how candidly you speak about a tragedy like this. You have no clue what went on in this situation or any regard for the lives that are affected by it. No one cares if you call it Prado Syndrome. These people may have been murdered by some random act, but regardless, you know nothing of this family nor this man so to publicly defame him in your sad midnight musings is nothing short of heartless and disrespectful. It's people like you that make this country regret freedom of speech.

Probably another father with financial problems, you know, the quite, nice guy, who keeps to himself, and who decides to wipe out his family before he does away with himself. So sad we have had so many of these types of murders/suicides. I call it the "Prado Syndrone". It seems that since that guy commited his viles acts, the same kind of crime as really increased! Are these guys so proud that they cannot seek help for themselves when the begin getting the "Prado Syndrone Itch"? There IS help out there!
